“To spend one’s life being angry, and in the process doing nothing to change it, is to me ridiculous. I could be mad all day long, but if I’m not doing a damn thing, what difference does it make?”
― Charles Fuller
Well done to the people who made some noise at the CCDU Launch. CanCERN staff were inside working hard to share the message directly with those who most need to hear it but it was equally important to have the residents presence there and it added to the launch rather than detracting from it. Minister Brownlee acknowledged the protesters as a representation of the ‘passion people have to get on with it’. Perhaps not the message he was meant to make but at least he realised people were there, people were hurting and people need to be acknowledged.

Confused about ‘land’ information?

There has been a fair amount of confusion about land, land damage, land assessments, land colours, land categories, and all other things land related. With so many agencies and organisations having some responsibility for land issues, communications have been confusing, uncoordinated and frustratingly slow. We have been constantly feeding this back to the communications people who write this stuff but now need your help to really spell out all the confusion. We will ensure it gets to the right people and try to get some real clarity and coordination in information sharing.
We will only be collecting this information over a week period so please don’t put it off. Feel free to forward this onto others who may want to add their question.
